A photo shadow remover changes the lighting in an image. The right result depends on what needs to stay accurate.
Generative editing can change eyes, lips, expression and skin texture. A dedicated Portrait preset is not offered in this release. For facial shadows, start with local exposure or tonal adjustments when the person must stay exact.
Describe the unwanted cast shadow and keep natural shading on the product. The Product preset asks for a soft contact shadow beneath it. Check colors, edges and packaging text. This tool does not replace the background with a white cutout.
A phone shadow can be lightened while the text’s spacing, punctuation or letter shapes change. Our controlled document tests showed this tradeoff, so this release has no dedicated Document preset. For important records, use scan enhancement or retake the photo.

If the original contains little usable detail, the AI may draw plausible replacements. Those are not a verified recovery of the original. Use a brighter source or retake the photo when accuracy matters.
